Public safety is a critical research area for the long-term development of science and technology. Fire, as one of the most common disasters, poses significant threats to public safety and social development. Preventing the occurrence and spread of fire is essential for safeguarding public property and ensuring safety of lives. Fire safety materials, including flame-retardant materials, heat insulation and fire prevention materials, play a vital role in fire protection. With the development of technology, these materials have been widely applied in various fields of society, like transportation, construction, aerospace, and electronics.

To enhance international academic communication, drive innovation in fire safety materials and promote industry development, the 6^th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Safety Materials Science and Engineering (AOFSM'6) will be held in Beijing, China from 16^th to 18^th October 2025. Hosted by Beijing University of Chemical Technology, University of Science and Technology of China and Asia-Oceania Association for Fire Safety Materials Science and Engineering, this symposium will bring together renowned international experts and researchers to present their latest academic progress. It will provide a comprehensive platform for communication among researchers in academia and industry.
